I was at the camp a few months back and whipped up my daughter a scarf.
I needed to use up some left over yarn. I loved the colors.
This is an a afghan that I made for my son over the winter.
Sorry about the blurry pictures, I had taken these with my cell phone.
This one was so easy and fun that I plan on making a couple more. I was able to work on one square at a time so I did not have a huge blanket to pack around.
Do you have a hobby or craft that you take with you to work on?
Beautiful work Melissa...and why yes I do! I love to paint....ha!
ReplyDeleteMy mother in law has made us all afghans and they are my very favorite and so special to us! I love the colors you choose...beautiful! Homemade gifts are the best!
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew how to crochet or knit! That scarf is too cute! And the block afghan looks like I might actually be able to do that! : )
ReplyDeleteMissy, I've never learned to knit but I can do a double crochet stitch. The only thing I ever made was a really, really long scarf. I didn't know how to stop! LOL That block afghan is really pretty.

I WILL learn to knit soon. It has been on my to do list for quite some time. Last year my 11 year old chose knitting for her service learning project at school and she taught herself by watching youtube videos. I LOVE that afghan. All us grandkids have one from our great grandmother and I truly wish my kids each had one handmade by me. I really need to get on that. I love the one you made for your son!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of Kaylee are gorgeous...but then with such a beautiful model, how could you go wrong right? And she definitely gets her beauty from her mama and auntie!
